Wright State men’s basketball picked to win Horizon League

The Wright State University Raiders are the team to beat in the Horizon League.

The Raiders were picked to finish first in the league’s preseason poll released today.

Defending regular-season champion Northern Kentucky was selected No. 2, followed by UIC, Oakland, Green Bay, IUPUI, Cleveland State, Milwaukee, Youngstown State and Detroit Mercy.

Wright State was the league runner-up last season, but won the league tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. The Raiders finished 25-10.

Wright State sophomore Louden Love was named to the preseason all-league first team. Senior Mark Hughes was named to the second team. NKU’s Drew McDonald was named preseason player of the year.
