About Wright State: Ernsthausen was supposed to come off the bench this season to create a better rotation of big men with Love. But instead of starting with a smaller lineup as intended, the Raiders might have to go big again because of an injury to sophomore guard Jaylon Hall. Hall sprained an ankle Tuesday and is questionable for this game. Ernsthausen played 21 minutes, scored four points, had six rebounds and committed four fouls in Wednesday's 96-73 victory over Western Carolina . … Love rebounded from a foul-plagued effort in the Raiders' exhibition game with 17 points and seven rebounds against Western. "He was much more active, he was involved in more ball screens and he just requires so much attention," Nagy said. As a result the Raiders made 12 of 26 3-point attempts for 46.2 percent. … Hughes made an early 3-pointer for his only points against Western and took only four shots. "I'd like to see Mark Hughes be more aggressive," Nagy said. "Sometimes when he watches other people be aggressive then he thinks that he needs to play a different role. But I like him to be aggressive because even when he's aggressive off the bounce he usually makes good plays. He's a good passer."
About Murray State: The Racers are the defending Ohio Valley Conference champions. The league's preseason media poll ranks the Racers No. 2 this season behind Belmont. … This is the fourth straight year the teams have met. The Racers finally got the better of the Raiders last year with an 80-61 victory at the Nutter Center. The Racers are 19-1 in home openers at the CFSB Center. … In their exhibition game Monday, the Racers rolled to a 99-61 victory over Brescia, an NAIA school from nearby Owensboro, Kentucky. Morant led 11 scorers with 17 points. Fellow starters Brown and Buchanan scored 15 apiece. The Racers had 28 assists on 42 field goals, scored 64 points in the paint and 32 points on fast breaks.
Coming up: The Raiders are back home at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 against Toledo.
