About Wright State: Love was named the Horizon League Player of the Week after racking up 22 points and 16 rebounds against Green Bay and 16 and nine against Milwaukee. He leads the conference in field-goal percentage (56.1) and is second in rebounding (9.3). … The Raiders had 20 assists on 30 buckets in Monday's 82-70 win over Milwaukee, but Nagy was perturbed at a season-high 17 turnovers. … Key sub Grant Basile hasn't scored while playing only 10 total minutes the last two games because of a lingering illness. He didn't have solid food for about 10 days. But Nagy joked that the 6-9 freshman seems to always be fighting some sort of ailment. "He's never well. He's just better (some days), is how I say it. He's never all the way well," he said. "But when we go up to Oakland, we're going to need him. They're going to play big, and we're going to try to play big."
About Oakland: The Grizzlies are averaging 63.6 points per game, which is way below their norm. In the four previous seasons, they averaged 76.7, 78.2, 79.0 and 86.4. They're ninth in the league in scoring but first in defense at 65.1 per game. They had to abandon their fast-paced style because two starters transferred, Braden Norris to Loyola and Jaevin Cumberland to Cincinnati, and they've got 10 new players, including seven true freshmen. … Blake Lampman, a 6-1 guard, was named the league freshman of the week after tallying 12 points and five assists in a 78-69 win over Detroit. The Grizzlies' program-record sixth straight win in the rivalry ended a five-game losing streak. Two of the losses, though, were at Michigan State and Syracuse. … Hill-Mais had 19 points and 10 rebounds against the Titans. He averaged 18.3 points and 7.2 rebounds last season and was named first-team all-conference. He's fourth in the league in field-goal percentage (53.0) and rebounding (7.8).
Coming up: The Raiders will stay in Michigan and play Detroit (2-12) at 1 p.m. Sunday. They'll play two more road games the following weekend against IUPUI and UIC.
