Wright State is losing another key piece of its NCAA Tournament team.

Junior guard Tanner Holden, the Raiders’ leading scorer, on Tuesday announced he is entering the transfer portal.

Holden averaged 20.1 points per game this season and helped lead the Raiders to the Horizon League tournament title and their first NCAA Tournament win. He scored 37 points in Wright State’s win over Bryant in a First Four game at UD Arena.

Earlier Tuesday, Holden was named to the Lou Henson All-America Team, which honors the best mid-major players in Division I college basketball.

WSU’s second-leading scorer, Grant Basile, and reserve forward James Mann, both announced their intentions to transfer last week.

According to verbalcommits.com, there are 955 players in the transfer portal.
