Xenia High School senior Samari Curtis announced his verbal commitment to the Cincinnati Bearcats on Wednesday.

Curtis committed to Xavier in February but reopened his recruitment in May. In May, he said Xavier had stayed in touch while Dayton, Cincinnati, Louisville, Missouri and Indiana are also recruiting him.

Curtis, a four-star recruit, is a 6-foot-4 guard. He ranks 114th in the class of 2019, according to 247Sports.com. He’s the second-ranked player in Ohio.
