Breezy with slight chance of snow today; Warmer temperatures coming

After a dangerously cold start to the week, temperatures will gradually return to a more seasonable cold through the end of the week, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

It will be breezy today with a slight chance of snow starting late this morning and lingering until around midnight. Highs will be around 30 degrees, falling to around 8 degrees overnight.

Light snow accumulations are possible, but won’t be more than half an inch.

On Friday, it will be mostly sunny with a high around 23 degrees, followed by a partly cloudy night with an overnight low around 12 degrees.

Saturday will be partly sunny, with a high around 37 degrees, followed by a mostly cloudy night with an overnight low around 26 degrees.

The high temperature on Sunday will be around freezing, with partly cloudy skies. However, high temperatures could be back in the 40s during the workweek.
