Wednesday will be warm and sunny, with some breezy winds in the afternoon. Starting around the evening commute, clouds are expected to quickly build for mostly cloudy skies and a chance of rain start around sundown.
Highs will be around 70s degrees and could set a new record high. The current record for Dayton on March 1 is 66 degrees set in 1976, according to NWS.
Wind gusts of 20 to 25 mph are possible in the afternoon.
On Wednesday night, there will a chance of rain that will continue all night, dropping away around dawn on Thursday.
Lows will be around 43 degrees.
On Thursday, clouds will decrease during the day for mostly sunny skies and a high around 54 degrees.
However, again, clouds will build back up in the late afternoon, for mostly cloudy skies and a chance of rain around dark.
Early Thursday night there’s a chance for snow and wintery precipitation in west central Ohio, which will turn into rain as the night progresses.
Showers are likely by 1 a.m. and wind gusts reaching up around 30 mph by dawn on Friday. Rain is expected to continue through the morning.
There’s a chance for some thunder Friday morning.
About 1 to 2 inches of rain are expected for the region, with 3 inches of localized rain possible. There’s also a chance for localized flooding, according to NWS.
Rain will taper off in the evening.
Lows will drop to around 37 degrees.
