Rain expected Friday, with light snow possible Friday night

Clouds will increase tonight, which will have an overnight low around 27 degrees.

The high temperature for today reached 38 degrees in Dayton, 44 in Cincinnati and 39 in Columbus, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Rain is expected on Friday afternoon, with light snow possible Friday night behind a cold front. A colder air mess will settle in for the weekend with some flurries possible, especially on Super Bowl Sunday.

Temperatures during the day on Friday will again be above normal, with a high near 47 degrees. Rain is expected before midnight. Overnight, there will be a chance of rain and snow showers until 2 a.m. followed by a chance of snow with a low around 26 degrees.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a high near freezing. Saturday night will remain mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 17 degrees.

Super Bowl Sunday will have sunny skies and a slight chance of snow after 2 p.m. it will be colder with a high near 27 degrees. Sunday night will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 12 degrees.
