Winter weather returns for today; warmer for weekend

Winter weather returned for today but this weekend will be warmer with highs nearing 60 degrees on Sunday.

After the high temperature reached 41 degrees in Dayton and Columbus and 42 in Cincinnati, clouds will increase tonight and the overnight low will dip to around 30 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. There also is a slight chance for snow before dawn.

Saturday will start cloudy and then gradually become mostly sunny with a high near 47 degrees.

Some clouds move back in for partly cloudy skies on Saturday night, which will have an overnight low around freezing and a light and variable wind.

Sunday will be partly sunny with a high near 57 degrees. The overnight low will be around 42 degrees. There’s a chance for rain, mainly after 1 a.m., that will continue during the day on Monday.

It will be warm and wet on Monday. Highs will be in the mid-60s. Monday night will be mostly cloudy and breezy with an overnight low around 39 degrees.

Tuesday partly sunny and breezy but not as warm with a high near 52 degrees. Clear skies are expected for Tuesday night, which will have an overnight low in the mid-30s.

Temperatures rebound under mostly sunny skies for Wednesday with a high near 64 degrees. A chance of showers returns Wednesday night, which will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 42 degrees.
