Near normal temps today; Rain tomorrow will change to snow amid abrupt cooldown

Temperatures today are near the seasonal norm and it will get even warmer for Wednesday before a cold front will change rain to snow as temperatures make abruptly drop.

The high for today reached 37 degrees in Dayton, 41 in Cincinnati and 32 in Columbus, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 33, but it will be windy with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday will be warmer with a high around 4s degrees with a chance of afternoon rain that will mix with snow after 5 p.m. as a cold front moves through, dropping the temperature. There is a chance of snow between 7 and 11 p.m. Overnight, it will be cloudy and much colder with a low around 17 degrees.

The below normal temperatures will stick around into at least early next week.

Skies will by mostly sunny Thursday with a high near 26 degrees. Thursday night will be clear with an overnight low around 11 degrees.

Friday also will be most sunny, with a high near 24 and an overnight low around 10 degrees.
