More rain, storms overnight; Perfect Memorial Day weather ahead

There is a chance of showers late tonight, with showers and possibly a thunderstorm during the overnight hours.

It will be cloudy with a low around 63 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Showers and possibly a thunderstorm are in the forecast for Friday. The high temperature will reach 71 degrees. Showers continue into the evening hours, mainly before 2 a.m. Overnight lows will fall to around 46 degrees.

Scattered showers are possible Saturday, which will be mostly cloudy with a high near 60 degrees. It will be breezy with gusts as high as 25 mph. Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 45 degrees.

Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 69 degrees. Sunday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 48 degrees.

Memorial Day will be mostly sunny with a high near 75 degrees. Monday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 55 degrees.
