Showers this evening; Warm and sunny through start of weekend

Showers and possibly thunderstorms are expected this evening under partly cloudy skies.

The overnight low will fall to around 63 degrees after reaching a high temperature of 86 degrees in Dayton and Columbus and 87 degrees in Cincinnati, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

It will be mostly sunny Thursday with a high near 81 degrees. Skies stay mostly clear Thursday night, with an overnight low around 61 degrees.

The workweek will end with mostly sunny skies and the high temperature near 83 degrees. Some clouds move in for partly cloudy skies Friday night with an overnight low around 62 degrees.

There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms for the second part of the weekend and into the first couple days of the new workweek.

Saturday is expected to start sunny and hotter with a high near 86 degrees. There is a chance of showers overnight under partly cloudy skies and a low around 66 degrees.

Rain chances continue Sunday, with showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with a high near 85 degrees. Sunday night, showers are likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 p.m., then a chance of showers and storms through 2 a.m., followed by a chance of showers. Skies overnight will be mostly cloudy with a low around 68 degrees.

There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms for Monday and Tuesday, which otherwise will be partly or mostly sunny with high temperatures in the middle to upper 80s.
