OVERNIGHT: Clouds return through the night. Winds will turn more southerly and that will help to keep our temperatures from dropping much overnight. An early low in the upper 20s is expected, then climbing towards daybreak as winds increase.
NEW YEAR’S EVE:
Quiet and cold conditions are expected in the morning with temperatures in the 30s. Clouds quickly increase as a cold front approaches from the northwest. Snow showers are possible by midday Saturday, and may mix with rain ahead of this front. As temperatures climb, precipitation should change to rain. Highs reach into the lower 40s. Winds will be gusty at times and may peak around 30 mph. As temperatures fall into the night and the front passes, a brief wintry mix or change to snow is possible before ending. Most, if not all areas, should be dry by midnight. Any wet roads could produce isolated slick spots as temperatures drop, but windy conditions should help to dry out most roadways.
NEW YEAR'S DAY: Mostly cloudy and breezy, but dry conditions are expected to start the year. Temperatures on Sunday will push into the 40s. Some scattered rain showers develop Sunday night from the south.
MONDAY: Scattered rain showers likely on this milder day with temperatures in the middle 50s.
TUESDAY: Showers are possible, especially early. It will be windy at times with temperatures in the middle 50s.
WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny, breezy and colder conditions are expected with highs in the lower 30s.
