Rain, storms continue Monday; damaging wind gusts possible

Rain and thunderstorms continue Monday, with a chance for damaging wind gusts in the morning to early afternoon, with the strongest storms likely to hit along the and east of I-75, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Most of the region has a marginal risk for severe weather, including an isolated severe storm.

However, chances for rainfall decline throughout the day. Spotty showers and drizzles are possible overnight, but overall it will primarily start to dry out.

High temperatures are expected to hit the mid 60s Monday ahead of a cooler Tuesday in the low to mid 50s.

Tuesday will be dry with cloudy skies, according to NWS. Patchy frost is possible overnight as skies clear and dew points are in the mid 30s.

On Wednesday, temperatures will be seasonable in the mid to low 50s with clear and dry and skies.

Starting the Thursday the chance for rain returns again and will linger overnight and into Friday morning.
