The high today reached 89 in Dayton and Columbus and 87 degrees in Cincinnati. Overnight lows are expected to fall to around 68 degrees.
It will be wet and cooler Wednesday, with a high of 79 degrees. Thunderstorms are possible between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. There is a chance for strong or severe storms that could bring gusty and damaging winds.
The region also is under a marginal risk for excessive rainfall on Wednesday, according to the NWS’s Weather Prediction Center.
Rain and storm chances will fall Wednesday evening and taper off by midnight as skies gradually clear and overnight temperatures fall to a low around 60 degrees.
Mostly sunny skies return for Thursday, with will have a high near 83 degrees. It will stay mostly clear Thursday night, with an overnight low around 64 degrees.
