Tonight will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around freezing; a warming trend will push temperatures into the upper 50s by Thursday before normal conditions return.

Today’s high reached 41 degrees in Dayton, 42 in Cincinnati and 36 in Columbus, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Thursday’s high will be near 57 degrees, but it will by rainy during the day with a thunderstorm possible before 3 p.m. Rain showers are expected to continue into the evening. Expect a steady temperature drop for Thursday night, which will have an overnight low temperature around freezing. Any lingering rain could change to snow before ending.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected Friday, with a high near 36 degrees and an overnight low around 26 degrees.

The forecast calls for weekend high temperatures in the mid-30s to low 40s.
