NWS Confirms EF-0 Tornado In Clinton County

The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-0 tornado hit the ground in Port William in Clinton Count on Thursday

Officials said the EF-0 tornado is the weakest type of tornado with winds of about 40-70 mph.

The National Weather Service said the twister touched down in Port William, which is located along the Greene/Clinton county line.

The funnel cloud was also spotted in the area around Interstate 71 and Spears Road, which is located south of Port William. There was some minor damage to a garage there.

Officials with the NWS said there was also a possible touch down at Lake Shawnee near Jamestown in a field and southwest of Selma in Clark County around the area of Chillicothe Pike and Route 42.
