Overnight low expected near freezing ahead of frosty morning

Temperatures are below average this week, with overnight lows expected at or below freezing.

The high temperature for today reached 49 degrees in Dayton and Cincinnati, and 50 degrees in Columbus, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Freeze warnings take effect at midnight for counties just south of the Miami Valley.

Widespread frost is expected every morning through the weekend, according to the NWS.

Wednesday will be sunny with an afternoon high near 48 degrees. Patchy frost is expected after 10 p.m. Overnight will be partly cloudy with a high around 30 degrees.

Skies will be mostly sunny Thursday with a nigh near 48 degrees. Widespread frost is expected after 11 p.m. Otherwise, it will be clear overnight with a low around 29 degrees.

Friday will be sunny and slightly warmer with an afternoon high near 51 degrees. Friday night will have widespread frost, mainly after midnight, with an overnight low around 30 degrees.
