The greatest threat is damaging winds, localized flooding with the chance of a weak and/or brief tornado, according to NWS.
Temperatures remained above normal for today, with the thigh reaching 60 degrees in Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus. Meanwhile, Cincinnati broke a 150-year-old daily rainfall record of 1.53 inches set in 1873. As of 5 p.m., Cincinnati recorded 1.87 inches and counting.
Winds will pick up overnight, with gusts as high as 29 mph, and temperatures will plummet overnight to a low below freezing around 27 degrees.
Friday will be cold and mostly cloudy with the high temperature below normal just above freezing. Friday night will be partly cloudy with an overnight low around 23 degrees.
Saturday will be more seasonable with sunny skies and a high near 45 degrees. Clouds filter in Saturday night, which will have an overnight low around freezing.
Sunday will be warmer and partly sunny with a high near 52 degrees. Overnight will be partly cloudy with a low around 39 degrees.
President’s Day will be partly sunny with a high near 48 degrees. There is a chance of showers before 1 p.m., and a chance of showers Monday night as well.
