During the alert, levels of air pollution, especially ground-level ozone might reach levels deemed “unhealthy for sensitive groups,” such as children, older adults and people with respiratory or cardiac diseases.
Area residents can help reduce pollution by carpooling, biking, walking or taking the bus instead of driving; refueling your vehicle after 8 p.m.; avoiding idling your vehicle; mowing the lawn in the evening; and avoiding using gas-powered lawn equipment.
Overnight, clouds will gradually increase as temperatures fall to around 67 degrees.
Tomorrow, it will be partly sunny and warm, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms beginning in the afternoon. Highs will be around 87 degrees.
After sunset, there will be showers with a chance of thunderstorms that will continue through sunrise. Temperatures will be warmer overnight, with lows only around 70 degrees.

The rain will continue Thursday, with showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms for most of the day, only falling to a chance of showers shortly before dark. There’s a marginal risk for severe storms, with heavy downpours and localized flooding possible, according to NWS.
Meanwhile, clouds will gradually fall throughout the day, for mostly clear skies by sunset.
Overnight, there will be a chance of showers throughout the night with a slight chance of storms until around midnight.
Lows will be around 68 degrees.
