Seasonably high temperatures and dry conditions are expected to continue for the start of the workweek, with the chance for a few showers Tuesday.

Today will be sunny, but skies may look hazy due to wildfires in Canada, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Highs will be in the low 80s today. The overnight low will drop into the upper 50s.

Tuesday brings a slight chance of rain showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m., but otherwise will be mostly sunny throughout the day. Highs will be near 84 degrees.

Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy by dry with an overnight low in the middle 50s. The next chance for rain is not expected until the second half of the weekend.

Starting mid-week it won’t be quite as hot, with sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s on Wednesday and Thursday with overnight temperatures in the lower to middle 50s.

The high temperature is expected to push back into the 80s for Friday under sunny skies, which stay mostly clear overnight.
