Chance of showers overnight; sunny but cooler Friday

Most of the rain has moved out of the region for now, but there is a chance for more showers overnight after 3 a.m., according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Skies are cloudy but will gradually clear with an overnight low around 48 degrees. It remains breezy with gusts as high as 24 mph possible.

It will be dry and sunny Friday but cooler with a high near 63 degrees. It will be breezy with wind gusts as high as 28 mph possible. Skies will be clear on Friday night with a low around 37 degrees. Winds will relax some, but gusts as high as 22 mph will be possible.

Saturday will be sunny with a high near 71 degrees. Skies stay mostly clear Saturday night with a low around 56 degrees.

Sunday will be mostly sunny and warmer with the high temperature near 77 degrees. Skies will be mostly cloudy Sunday night with showers likely, mainly after 2 a.m. The overnight low will be around 61 degrees.

Showers are expected Monday, with thunderstorms possible after 2 p.m. and a high near 75 degrees. A chance of showers and storms remains Monday night, with an overnight low around 58 degrees.
