Today will be warm and rainy, with showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms starting shortly after sunrise, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Thunderstorms will be likely this afternoon, and could possibly bring isolated damaging wind gusts.

Otherwise, rain and storm chances will fall this evening, with just a lingering slight chance of showers until around midnight, followed by clearing skies ahead of morning on Sunday.

Highs will be around 83 degrees today, falling to around 64 degrees overnight.

Sunday will be sunny and warm, with highs around 88 degrees, followed by a mostly clear night with lows around 59 degrees.

For Labor Day, skies will be sunny and temperatures will be milder, with highs around 79 degrees.

Monday night will be mostly clear with lows around 53 degrees.
