The NWS said we could see sustained winds as strong as 20 to 30 mph, with some gusts as strong as 50-55 mph expected.
Strong winds could blow around unsecured objects and knock down tree limbs, potentially causing outages if falling trees hit power lines.
Otherwise, today will be rainy and chilly, with a chance of thunderstorms after 10 a.m.
New rainfall amounts today could be between half and three-quarters of an inch.

Skies will be cloudy, and temperatures are mostly expected to fall during the day. The high will rise a few degrees in the morning to high of 55 degrees around noon, then gradually fall throughout the afternoon and overnight.
After night falls, rain chances will begin to fall, mostly coming to an end in the early hours of Friday morning.
Overnight will be the strongest wind gusts as temperatures fall to a low near 30 degrees. Gusty winds are expected to continue through Friday morning, followed by winds gradually lessening in the evening.
The clouds will also clear in the early morning, for mostly sunny skies by dawn on Friday.
Friday will be chilly and mostly clear, with highs around 46 degrees. Temperatures will drop below freezing on Friday night with a low around 27 degrees.
Saturday will be clear, calm and warmer to start the weekend, with highs around 56 degrees, although lows on Saturday night are expected to fall to around freezing again, at around 32 degrees.
