Near and far summer tours and concerts continue to roll out at an increasingly faster clip.

Fraze Pavilion announced shows featuring The Beach Boys and Rick Springfield and Richard Marx among others while The Rose Music Center announced a mid-June show featuring Trombone Shorty with Big Boi. Based on the number of concerts in previous years that both venues have had there should be plenty more announcements to come.

Popular a cappella group Straight No Chaser and country music legend Travis Tritt will also appear at The Rose.

In Cincinnati, Luke Bryan announced a tour stop, and in Columbus, Justin Timberlake will appear in October at Nationwide Arena — while Heart and Cheap Trick will play a May 15 show at Jerome Schottenstein Center’s Value City Arena. The closest the Billy Joel and Rod Stewart tour is coming at this point will be Cleveland on Sept. 13, but we’ll be watching to see if more dates are added to that tour and all of the others.

The Ohio State Fair, scheduled July 24-Aug. 4 in Columbus, has announced its first round of concerts. Country music legends Alabama will perform Thursday, July 25 at 7 p.m. The award-winning group will be joined by special guest Jade Eagleson. Tickets are priced at $65-$75 and go on sale today, Feb. 23.
