The family that is launching the Beavercreek restaurant also owns and operates two Japanese steakhouse-style restaurants in the Columbus area, according to Edward W. Hastie, a Columbus attorney who represents bars and restaurants across the state, including Daruma. The Beavercreek location will have more of a fast-casual service concept than its Columbus hibachi-steakhouse counterparts, Hastie said.
The restaurant is still in build-out stage and must navigate some permit requirements, but it could open as soon as 30 days, by mid-February, if all goes well, Hastie said.
Signage has been approved and installed.
“We approved a permit for a sign in September but have not received a certificate of use, which means they haven’t received an occupancy permit” yet from Greene County officials, according to Sandra Pereira, city planner in the city of Beavercreek’s planning and development department.
