Details: This monthly art hop features exhibit openings at various galleries and other entertainment options as well as live music, dining and shopping specials, and more.

2. The Motortown All-Stars

Where: Schuster Center, 1 W. Second St., Dayton

Details: Get ready to groove with the sounds of Motown courtesy of this group direct from Detroit and featuring former members of The Capitols, The Miracles and The Temptations. The All-Stars will perform hits by The Temptations, The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and more. The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra’s Rockin’ Orchestra concert will be conducted by DPO Artistic Director Neal Gittleman.

3. Photographer Vincent J. Musi: Where The Wild Things Are

When: 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5

Details: In this Dayton Live presentation, Vincent Musi will share highlights from more than 30 years traveling the world for National Geographic documenting a changing planet. His talk will take audiences on a journey to explore the fascinating world of animal cognition as well as a tour of some unusual pets.

4. Swiftie Skate

When: 7-10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3

Where: RiverScape MetroPark, 237 E. Monument Ave., Dayton

Details: Skate to music inspired by Taylor Swift’s catalogue. This special skate day presented by Five Rivers MetroParks also includes hands-on games and activities in the heated comfort tent.

Cost: Admission is $7. Visitors can rent ice skates for $3. Children 3 years old and under are free with a paying adult. There is no charge for those who are not skating.

6. Arts & Wellness at the Arcade

Details: The Contemporary Dayton’s Arts & Wellness 2025 Series invites the community to gather for yoga rejuvenation. There will be Traditional Yoga with Tori Reynolds of Speakeasy Yoga in The Arcade’s Rotunda and Chair Yoga with Day Yoga Studio in The Contemporary Dayton’s Galleries, located at 25 W. Fourth St. Doors open to registered participants 15 minutes before the start of each class. Equipment will not be provided.

7. Merry Grinchmas: Art of Dr. Seuss’ Holiday Classic & (B)ART! America’s Funniest Animated Family

Details: View original drawings of Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss) and Chuck Jones, who brought Dr. Seuss’ classic holiday tale to life in the 1966 animated special “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!,” and enjoy replicas of the sofa and living room set which has been a part of “The Simpsons” iconography since the show debuted in 1989.

9. Gem City Comedy Showcase
