Since 1967, every season of the National Football League has culminated in the Super Bowl, pitting two teams against each other to see who will be crowned champion.

Super Bowl LIX on Sunday will see the Philadelphia Eagles face off against the Kansas City Chiefs, who have won the past two years. It is being played in New Orleans.

Across southwest Ohio, various businesses will celebrate the game with special festivities. Here is a guide to a number of Super Bowl events in the Dayton area:

Super Bowl Celebration at the Oregon Express

When: 6:30 p.m. Sunday

Location: 336 E. Fifth St., Dayton

More info: The Oregon Express in Dayton is offering special deals during its Super Bowl festivities. During the game, guests can purchase a selection of five beers for $15, as well as a large two-topping pizza for $20.

Roundhouse Depot Brewing Company Super Bowl Party

When: 6 p.m. Sunday

Location: 217 W. Chillicothe Ave., Bellefontaine

More info: Bellefontaine bar Roundhouse Depot Brewing Company encourages guests to wear team jerseys during its Super Bowl watch party.

Mr. P’s Lounge Super Bowl Party

When: 2-10 p.m. Sunday

Location: 131 N. Wright Ave, Fairborn

More info: Mr. P’s Lounge in Fairborn will host a potluck-style party to celebrate the Super Bowl. The bar will also host a dart tournament at 8 p.m., with sign ups starting at 7 p.m.

Souperbowl Soup Cookoff

When: 5 p.m. Sunday

Location: Mulvaney’s Sports Pub: 560 N. Broad St., Fairborn

More info: Mulvaney’s annual Super Bowl soup cookoff will take place Feb. 9 in Fairborn. Contestants can bring their entries after 5 p.m., and judging will take place during the game.

FigLeaf Brewing Company Super Bowl Watch Party

When: 6:30 p.m. Sunday

Location: 3887 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, Middletown

More info: Guest can purchase $5 draft drinks and $12 pizzas while watching the Super Bowl at FigLeaf Brewing Company in Middletown.

Poppy’s Sports Bar Super Bowl Party

When: 6 p.m. Sunday

Location: 6611 Glenway Ave., Cincinnati

More info: Poppy’s Sports Bar in Cincinnati will host a special watch party for guests during the Super Bowl.

Goth Super Bowling-ing XIV

When: 6:30 p.m. Sunday

Location: S&S Western Bowl: 6383 Glenway Ave., Cincinnati

More info: Designed for those who dislike football, this annual bowling event encourages guests to wear anything besides football attire. While the bowling portion of the event is pay as you play, guests are recommended to RSVP for the dinner starting at 5 p.m. at the nearby Cancun restaurant. This event is family-friendly and guests can bring their children.
