10 of the strangest high school mascots in Ohio

Amelia Robinson Staff Writer

Ohio has more than its fair share of Falcons, Blue Devils, Flyers, Eagles, Bulldogs and Cardinals.

The Dayton area is represented well by everything from Lions (Meadowdale) to Lumberjacks (Oakwood) to Polar Bears (Northridge) to Tigers (Stivers).

Lots and lots and lots of mascots rep Ohio high schools, but only a few of those mascots make you scratch your head and say what?!?

Here are some the more creative high school mascots around the Buckeye State.

Some make perfectly good sense when you think about it. Others, not so much. Whatever makes ‘em happy.

You can't go wrong with out-of-the-box thinking.
